The papers in this collection are the surviving administrative records of Archbishops Williams (1929-1946), Masterson (1947-1953) and Grimshaw (1954-1965), although a few files contain earlier papers. They represent only a fraction of what must have been generated in the period of the three archbishops, most of which seems to have been lost.
